Hello!
My name is Flint Million and I am an assistive technology trainer based in Mankato, Minnesota. I specialize in teaching blind and visually impaired individuals how to utilize technology to meet their goals in employment and independence.
I have been working as a trainer since May of 2001 and have helped hundreds of blind people achieve their goals.
I am a contracted state vendor for Minnesota Services for the Blind (SSB); this means that if you have a case with SSB and have training needs, I would be happy to work with you. In most instances, you would need only to request my services from your SSB counselor, who will then make an official referral to me. I will travel anywhere within the State of Minnesota.
I can also provide services to individuals with other disabilities and will work with other agencies to arrange training. I have experience working with people with cognitive disabilities, deaf and hard-of-hearing, and physical motor disabilities.
If you are not a client of SSB or another supporting agency, I will be happy to also provide private pay training. Please contact me for more information about this.
Training is usually provided on a one-on-one basis and can take place at any location necessary, including in your home, workplace, school, local WorkForce Center or any other convenient location for you. During the first meeting, we will devise a training schedule based on your specific needs and decide on where and when appointments will take place. I am also available by phone most of the time, so you can always contact me even between training sessions; I also can usually accomodate evening or weekend training.
